Name Screening Monitor, Daily Run 5 Oct 2026: No Hits Found in Checked Sources (0 Escalate, 0 Review)
Summary
Read as: daily cadence with an explicit 24-hour lookback ending 5 October 2026; checks limited to sanctions, PEP, adverse media and enforcement; the three rows are Ivan Petrov (person, RU, DOB 1971-03-02), Acme Trading FZE (entity, AE) and Maria Gonzalez (person, MX, DOB 1985-11-19).
3 names screened, 0 Escalate, 0 Review, 0 rows skipped. No hit at Possible or Strong strength was found in the sources checked. This is not a clearance: only an aggregator search and a news search were run, the issuing bodies' own pages were not opened, and the aggregator gives "updated" dates, so I could not test strictly for entries added in the last 24 hours (see Coverage). "No change" means no hit found, not cleared. The "None" strength means no hit with a matching DOB was found; some returned entries have no DOB and were not individually ruled out.
| Name | Check | List or source | Finding | Match strength | Date listed or published | Decision | Link |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Ivan Petrov (RU, 1971-03-02) | All requested | ComplyAdvantage sanctions, PEP and adverse-media search; Google News (24h) | No new hits. 37 fuzzy name hits returned, none with DOB 1971-03-02. One sanctions entry of note (a same-name entry with a conflicting DOB, by my selection) is "Petrov Ivan", DOB 1985-10-20, Ukraine NSDC list, updated 2026-05-13, which conflicts on DOB. No news in the window | None | Nothing inside the window | No change | Not applicable (no hit) |
| Acme Trading FZE (AE) | All requested | ComplyAdvantage business sanctions and adverse-media search; Google News (24h) | No new hits. Zero matches in the ComplyAdvantage search; Google News returned no results for the exact name | None | Nothing inside the window | No change | Not applicable (no hit) |
| Maria Gonzalez (MX, 1985-11-19) | All requested | ComplyAdvantage sanctions, PEP and adverse-media search; Google News (24h) | No new hits. 100 fuzzy name hits returned (the tool's limit may truncate the list); none with DOB 1985-11-19. No news in the window | None | Nothing inside the window | No change | Not applicable (no hit) |
Notes
No row reached Possible or Strong, so there are no hit notes. Evidence for the near misses is below.
Open items
- Ivan Petrov: the ComplyAdvantage sanctions result lists "Petrov Ivan", Russian Federation, DOB 1985-10-20, from the Ukrainian National Security and Defence Council list, updated 2026-05-13. The DOB conflicts with 1971-03-02, so I treat it as Weak, outside the window. A Rosfin monitoring-list entry for "Petrov Ivan Vladimirovich" (DOB 1995-01-18) also conflicts.
- Maria Gonzalez: the sanctions result includes OFAC SDN entries for different people (for example "Gonzalez Muniz Esperanza Maria", DOB 1970-01-23, Mexico). Names and DOBs differ, so these are ruled out on current identifiers. A search with a fuller name or a second identifier would narrow the 100 hits.
- Common names: "Ivan Petrov" and "Maria Gonzalez" are very common. Without middle names or an ID number, any future name-only hit stays at most Possible.
- Google News (24h): the broad queries returned only older items, for example a Meduza report dated 4 May 2026 on an embezzlement detention. It names no person matched to this row, so I did not use it.
Do next
- Confirm the OFAC recent-actions page and the UK, EU and UN lists directly for all three rows (not done this run).
- Ask the client for middle names, patronymic, passport or national ID, and licence number for Acme Trading FZE.
- Check the UAE free-zone registry for Acme Trading FZE to confirm which free zone and licence it holds.
- Re-run the Russian-language and Spanish-language media searches through Opoint once access is confirmed.
- Run the next daily cycle tomorrow.
Coverage
Checked: ComplyAdvantage person sanctions, PEP and adverse-media search; ComplyAdvantage business sanctions and adverse-media search; Google News with a one-day filter, including one Russian-language query and one Spanish-language query. Unchecked: the OFAC, UK, EU and UN pages at origin; official PEP confirmation pages; FBI, Interpol, World Bank and SAM.gov; Opoint; Mexican, Russian and UAE regulator and prosecutor pages; Arabic-language searches. PEP and adverse-media screening were not run as separate checks, so the "All requested" label above means "all checks I could run". For Acme Trading FZE, a name-only search with no registration number cannot support more than "no hit found". Because the ComplyAdvantage tool did not apply its category filter, the PEP and adverse-media searches returned the same combined result set as the sanctions search; I read all categories from it. Decisions are recommendations for you to confirm, not legal advice.
