Introducing Grep AI Swarms

Teams of agents that work together on complex, repetitive work, from account research to merchant categorization and vendor review.

Orange Grep AI billboard concept on a brick wall: “The swarms are coming. To grow your business.” Beside a bold swarm asterisk and grep.ai.

The swarms are coming. To grow your business.

Growing a business creates more work before it creates more capacity. More accounts to research. More businesses to verify. More vendors to review. Each item needs several kinds of work, and someone has to pull the findings together.

Grep AI Swarms are teams of agents that work together to automate complex, repetitive work in your business. A coordinating agent breaks down the task, assigns it to specialists, and combines their findings into a result your team can use.

How a swarm works

Take merchant categorization. A list of company names rarely tells you enough about what those businesses actually sell.

One agent can identify the right business and website. Another can examine its products and services. A third can check the proposed category against the evidence and flag ambiguous cases. The coordinator brings those findings together, with sources and confidence notes for review.

Each specialist has instructions, skills, and access to the tools needed for its part of the job. Findings move between steps, so the next agent can build on the work already done.

Put a team on the backlog

The same approach applies across your business:

Account research: Research a target-account list, identify buying signals, and assess fit against your ideal customer profile. Give your team company profiles and source links to help decide where to spend its time.

Vendor review: Gather business information, examine policies and documents, and bring together risk evidence and outstanding questions for your team to review.

Customer onboarding: Review customer information, carry out KYB/KYC tasks and onboard customers faster or reach out for more information.

The aim is to give your team more capacity for the work that follows: pursuing the right accounts, making informed decisions, and serving more customers.

Start small, review, then scale

Choose one repetitive task and connect the tools it needs. Run a representative sample, inspect the evidence and outputs, and refine the instructions before applying the workflow to a larger list.

Swarms run with the boundaries you set. Agent code executes in isolated environments. You control tool and credential access, can inspect activity and outputs, and can set per-run cost limits. Set review criteria and exception handling, and keep decisions that require judgment with your team.

That makes the first step quite practical: pick a backlog, define what a useful result looks like, and review a sample.
