Introducing Decision Outputs, Powered by Jev

Turn research into decisions against your criteria, with probabilities for choice questions and a threshold for human review.

Day two of our launch week is Decision Outputs, powered by Jev. Grep agents can now turn their research into decisions against the criteria you define.

Many workflows repeat the same pattern: gather data, verify information, and make a judgment. An agent can do the research, but the final decision can still be the bottleneck. Decision Outputs connects those two parts of the work.

Define the questions and criteria

Grep uses frontier models for research and due diligence. When that research is complete, TypeSafe AI's Jev model evaluates the report and makes the final decision against your criteria.

In the agent builder, choose Decision as the output type. Then write the questions you want answered, define the answer options, and add a rubric for each answer.

For a business-onboarding workflow, that could mean asking whether to approve, review, or decline an application. The research covers the company, its ownership, sanctions, and adverse media. The rubric defines how that evidence should affect the decision.

Use probabilities to set a review threshold

For choice questions, Jev returns a probability for each option. You can use those probabilities to define when the agent acts and when a person reviews the case.

Above your threshold, the agent acts. Below it, a person reviews the result. This lets your team set the boundary for automation around the decision being made.

Asking a general-purpose LLM how confident it feels gives you a self-reported number. Jev is trained for calibrated probabilities, which makes the probability output useful for setting that review threshold.

Review decisions alongside the research

The demo shows the decisions above the supporting research report, with source citations available in the report. You can inspect the criteria and compare the scores for the available choices.

You can also view, copy, or download the decisions as JSON. The structured output gives you the answers in a form you can use outside the report view.
